“I can’t remember a time I wasn’t obsessed with hair and makeup. In my 6th grade yearbook they asked us to put what we wanted to be when we grew up and mine says “Cosmetologist”. I got my first makeup book in 8th grade and it was over from there. No one could come over without getting a makeover. By the time high school started girls, were hiring me to do their makeup for school dances and modeling gigs. I couldn’t wait to get to beauty school and was lucky enough to start my career in 2007.

After working in different Salons I started my company in 2014 as Stay Polished Austin and then rebranded in 2022 as Red Betty Weddings to focus solely on weddings and special events. It’s incredibly important to me to only hire the best of the best. A diverse team of people who are experienced in servicing everyone from the darkest skin with 4C curls to locs, stick straight hair, brides and moms over 30 and everyone in between. All of us have PTSD from a bad makeup and hair experiences so we work hard to prevent that and make you feel safe in our hands.

I have a more natural beauty philosophy and want you to feel like yourself on your wedding day. Like the best version of YOU. I want everyone to feel comfortable in their own skin and not feel like they’re covered in cakey makeup or overstyled hair.
